Board of Directors
Queensland is one of the most decentralised states in Australia with a widely dispersed population. The Crime Stoppers Program provides an avenue for the community as a whole to assist police to solve crimes and ultimately make our state a safer place.
Queensland is unique to most other Australian states in that the program is supported by local Area Committees. Queenslands’ continued success is due to the commitment of all of our volunteer members associated with the program.
The Board of Directors:
The Directors of the company take great pride in the achievements of the program in Queensland. The role of the Board of Directors is to:
- lead, manage and coordinate strategic planning and performance;
- develop, facilitate and implement strategies to achieve corporate goals and organisational improvement;
- provide direction, advice and support to Area Committees through the company management team;
- represent the program in National and International Crime Stoppers forums.
Additionally, the Directors oversee the daily operations of the management team.
State Office
In March 2007 the Board of Directors appointed the first full time State Manager of the company – Mr Trevor O’Hara. Following Trevor’s appointment the community volunteer organisation has grown into the organisation it should have been 18 years ago. In November 2009 the role of the State Manager was upgraded to Chief Executive Officer.
The team also consists of several Casual Administration Assistants engaged for specific technical assistance.
The State Office is located at 2092 Gympie Road Bald Hills.
The State Office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.
